Ohio Stoneware
American-made Ohio Stoneware has been a favorite in American homes throughout the 20th century. The family owned business has been around since Zanesville, Ohio was known as, "the Pottery Capital of the World."
All stoneware we stock is microwave oven, conventional oven, dishwasher and food safe. Additionally, it is lead free and contains no harmful chemicals. The time-tested clay mixture is formed with a press and hand finished before drying. Each piece is sprayed with an in-house glaze recipe after drying. Stoneware pieces are then fired at 2200 degrees Fahrenheit and stamped with "Ohio Stoneware" when cooled. Making stoneware with natural clay is a unique process. As such, you may expect each piece to have slight variations in shape, color and texture. No two pieces are exactly alike - a unique dinnerware guarantee!
